"The iPad has been...highly appreciated at the third national sci-tech festival and the national intellectual property products show in 2016," the ad says.
The tablet includes a North Korean version of WebMD, that the maker says can "diagnose up to 1,200 ailments", together with other apps, including a dictionary.
It's not the first tablet that North Korea has sold -- the reclusive state had three domestically-produced tablets in 2013 -- but the Ryonghung IPad is the first time the country has ripped off an Apple trademarks.
Current leader Kim Jong-un apparently loves Apple, as did his dad. Kim Jong-Il reportedly used a 15-inch Macbook Pro, while his son was pictured next to an iMac in a 2013 photo that was circulated:

The Kims' love for Apple seems to have influenced its domestic tech industry, with a company releasing a computer in 2015 that looked really similar to an Apple iMac:

At the same time, the country reportedly released its own in-house knock-off of Apple's Mac OS X, called Red Star 3.0:

Nobody knows what OS the Ryonghung IPad will run on, but if past tablets are any indication, it'll likely be a heavily-neutered form of Android.

Apple -- if it takes the effort -- might be able to defend its trademark in the reclusive totalitarian state. After all, North Korea has been a member of the Madrid Protocol since 1996, an international agreement which regulates the use of trademarks.
