The Sex On Phonenext big live event in Overwatchkicks off on Jan. 24, and it's a celebration of the Chinese New Year.

Blizzard hasn't revealed much more than that at this point. Video teasers offer brief looks at what are likely the event's unlockable costumes for D.Va and Mei, but there's no word on special game modes or even the length of the celebration.

The Jan. 24 start date comes four days before the official Chinese New Year celebration -- which, for 2017, ushers in the Year of the Rooster -- on Jan. 28. Hence the event's name: "Year of the Rooster."

Previous Overwatchevents have introduced an assortment of cosmetic items -- sprays, player icons, voice lines, skins, and more -- in addition to themed play modes.

A Summer Olympics event featured Lúcioball, an Overwatch-themed riff on Rocket League.Subsequent Halloween and winter events featured a showdown against zombie robots at a spooky castle and snowball fights, respectively.

The D.Va and Mei skins -- which you can see in embedded tweets below -- are just a taste. With less than a week to go before "Year of the Rooster" kicks off in Overwatch, expect more details soon.
