Simply tantalizing.
As this particular solar eclipse is a once-in-a-99-year-event, it makes sense Krispy Kreme would pick now to debut a chocolate-glazed doughnut. Krispy Kreme even dubbed it "the tastiest eclipse in history" in its press release.
“The solar eclipse is a rare occasion providing a total sensory experience for viewers across the continental U.S. Chocolate will have the same effect as we introduce a first-time chocolate glazing of our iconic Original GlazedDoughnut,” said Jackie Woodward, the company's chief marketing officer, in a statement. “The Chocolate Glazed Doughnut is a delicious way to experience the solar eclipse – no matter where you are – and we can’t wait for fans to try it.”
The only bad news is the special doughnuts will only be available Aug. 19-21. So chocolate lovers, make sure you get them while they're hot!
